著作は多数あり、「満洲童話集」、「アサ」、「ワタシノオテガミ」、「ワタシノムラ」といった作品が知られている。また、再話として「ポストマニ」、「アンクル・トム」、「おおかみ少年」なども出版している。

Born in Kyobashi Ward, Tokyo City, Tokyo (currently Chuo Ward, Tokyo), he graduated from Hibiya Elementary School and Kinjo Commercial School. In 1929, he started working at Ohashi Library and was in charge of the children's library. After that, he helped edit the Ohashi Private Library and edited the picture magazine ``Kodomonohikari.''
