Nobumitsu Omiya is a Japanese science journalist and science fiction fan activist. Started tutoring and running a cram school while attending Tokyo University of Education. In 1967, he joined the science fiction fanzine ``Uchuujin'' and became active in the science fiction world.
In 1968, he formed the ``SF Fan Science Study Group'' with Fujio Ishihara and Takumi Shibano, which later became the ``SF Random Course'' and is still active today. Since 1979, he has been active as a ``SF scholar'' and has written many books.
