宮坂宥洪 / Yuko Miyasaka

真言宗の僧、仏教学者。長野県岡谷市生まれ。父は宮坂宥勝。高野山大学仏教学科卒業後、インド・プネー大学で哲学博士の学位を取得。岡谷市の真言宗智山派照光寺住職でもある。真言宗智山派の最高研究教育機関である智山伝法院の院長。
著書には『般若心経の新世界』『密教の遊歩道』など、仏教学や仏教思想に関する多数の著書がある。また、ダライ・ラマの翻訳も行っている。日本仏教界に大きな影響を与えている。

A monk of the Shingon sect and a Buddhist scholar. Born in Okaya City, Nagano Prefecture. My father is Yukatsu Miyasaka. After graduating from the Department of Buddhism at Koyasan University, he received a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Pune, India. He is also the chief priest of Shokoji Temple of the Chizan sect of the Shingon sect in Okaya City. Director of Chizan Denpo-in, the highest research and educational institution of the Chizan school of the Shingon sect.
He has written numerous books on Buddhist studies and thought, including ``The New World of the Heart Sutra'' and ``The Promenade of Esoteric Buddhism.'' He also translates the Dalai Lama. It has had a great influence on Japanese Buddhism.
