夢野久作は、日本の小説家。彼は、陸軍少尉、禅僧、新聞記者、郵便局長という多彩な経歴を持ち、幼名は直樹、出家名は杉山泰道（すぎやまやすみち）、号は萠圓、三八という異名が知られる。彼の代表作である『ドグラ・マグラ』は三大奇書の一つとされている。また、彼は詩や短歌にも長けていたし、絵もよくし、初期には童話や一コマ漫画を描いたこともある。彼の父親は政界の黒幕と呼ばれた玄洋社の杉山茂丸であり、彼の子孫に杉山満丸がいる。彼は1936年（昭和11年）3月11日に脳溢血で死亡し、享年47歳だった。

His childhood name was Naoki, his priestly name was Sugiyama Yasumichi, his name was Soen, and he was also known as Sanhachi. His masterpiece, ``Dogra Magra'', is considered one of the three greatest novels. He was also good at poetry and tanka, and was also good at drawing, and even drew children's stories and one-panel comics in his early days. His father was Shigemaru Sugiyama of Genyosha, who was known as the mastermind of the political world, and his descendant is Mitsumaru Sugiyama. He died of a cerebral hemorrhage on March 11, 1936, at the age of 47.
