**Kazunari Yokoyama, a young soil microbial researcher**
Agronomist. After graduating from Hokkaido University, studied at Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine and Cornell University in the United States. After that, he worked at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan and the Hokkaido Agricultural Experiment Station, and is currently working as a representative of the NPO Council for Food Safety for Consumers.
