**Contributing to the internationalization of the Japanese language**
Japanese language scholar. Professor Emeritus of Rikkyo University and Professor of Nishogakusha University. Specializes in Japanese language.
Takuya Okimori argues that in order to simplify Japanese, we should restrict kanji, restrict vocabulary, and liberalize pitch accents. He also believes that large numbers of immigrants are necessary to "internationalize" the Japanese language. However, he himself is neutral about the enjoyment of learning Japanese, saying that some people enjoy the language because of its writing system and rich vocabulary.
His books include ``The Birth of the Japanese Language: Ancient Characters and Notation'' and ``A Complete History of the Japanese Language.'' He also became a professor at Nishogakusha University, and is currently publishing numerous works on Japanese language research.
