小林泰三は、日本の小説家、SF作家、ホラー作家、推理作家。京都府出身。洛南高等学校、大阪大学基礎工学部卒業後、三洋電機ニューマテリアル研究所で開発者として勤務。その後、小説家に転じた。日本推理作家協会の会員であり、元日本SF作家クラブ会員でもある。1995年に「玩具修理者」で第2回日本ホラー小説大賞短編賞を受賞し、映画化された。

Taizo Kobayashi is a Japanese novelist, science fiction writer, horror writer, and mystery writer. Born in Kyoto Prefecture. After graduating from Rakunan High School and Osaka University's Faculty of Engineering Science, he worked as a developer at Sanyo Electric New Materials Research Institute. After that, he turned to novelist. He is a member of the Japan Mystery Writers Association and a former member of the Japan Science Fiction Writers Club. In 1995, ``Toy Repairman'' won the 2nd Japan Horror Novel Award for Best Short Story and was made into a film.
