Japanese picture book author and illustrator. After graduating from the Department of Design at Tokyo University of the Arts, he has contributed to numerous children's literature. Some of his representative works include ``Hanakapa'', ``Pants Pankuro'', ``Mameushi Series'', ``Henshin Series'', and ``Tamago Niichan Series''. I also created the Chubu Nippon Broadcasting Corporation character "Koron-chan." It has won the Japan Picture Book Award Grand Prize and the Sankei Children's Publishing Culture Award Art Award.
