Yoshiaki Ando is a Japanese novelist and mystery writer. He is originally from Shizuoka Prefecture. In 1994, he won the Japan Mystery Suspense Award for ``The Brown Target''. As a result of his writing career, in 2000 he won the Horror Suspense Award Special Award for ``Kishimojin'' and in 2010 he won the Japan Mystery Writers Association Award in the short story category for ``Zuikan''.
His representative works include the ``Shibazaki Reiji Series'' and the ``Life Safety Special Investigation Team Series.'' The former is a mystery novel featuring Reiji Shibasaki, a special investigator at the National Police Agency, as the main character, while the latter depicts the investigative activities of detective Seiichi Yamashita.
