Kazuko Mukoda is an essayist from Tokyo. Her eldest sister is Kuniko Mukoda, a writer and screenwriter. After graduating from Jissen Women's Junior College, she worked as a hairdresser's secretary and a non-life insurance company before opening the small restaurant "Mamaya" in Akasaka with Kuniko Mukoda in 1978. However, it closed in 1998. After that, he became active in writing and film-related fields. He is also a member of the Japan Pen Club.
