日本の将棋観戦記者で雑誌『将棋世界』編集者の大川慎太郎さんは、静岡県生まれ。日本大学法学部新聞学科卒業後、講談社勤務からフリーに転向し、2006年より将棋界で観戦記者として活動しています。

**"Breathing new life into the shogi world"**
Shintaro Okawa, a Japanese shogi reporter and editor of the magazine Shogi World, was born in Shizuoka Prefecture. After graduating from Nihon University's Faculty of Law, Department of Newspapers, he worked for Kodansha before becoming a freelancer, and has been working as a spectator reporter in the shogi world since 2006.
His representative works include ``One Point Breakthrough,'' ``Shogi: Records of Famous Shogi Players,'' and ``The Indomitable Shogi Player.'' In 2015 and 2018, we won the grand prize in the spectator writing category of the 27th and 30th Shogi Pen Club Awards, respectively.
