Kaori Yamada is a Japanese bonsai artist and a very kind and considerate woman. I was born in Saitama Prefecture, and my father is the 4th generation owner of Seikoen, a prestigious bonsai garden, so I grew up learning bonsai from an early age.

She took the new style of bonsai that her father had devised, ``Saika Bonsai,'' and arranged it into a form that women could easily enjoy, and opened a bonsai class. At first we had nine students, but now we have over 400 students.
