歴史学者の古川隆久は、日本の近現代史を専門に研究しています。東京大学文学部国史学科卒業後、博士（文学）号を取得。その後、横浜市立大学講師、助教授を経て現在、日本大学文理学部教授です。
代表的な著書として、『戦時下の日本映画』で尾崎秀樹記念大衆文学研究賞を受賞したほか、『昭和天皇』ではサントリー学芸賞を受賞しました。著書には、多くの人が関心を持ちそうな作品もあります。

Historian Takahisa Furukawa specializes in modern Japanese history. After graduating from the Department of Japanese History, Faculty of Letters, University of Tokyo, received a Ph.D. in Literature. After that, he served as a lecturer and assistant professor at Yokohama City University, and is currently a professor at Nihon University's College of Arts and Sciences.
His most representative works include the Hideki Ozaki Memorial Popular Literature Research Award for ``Wartime Japanese Cinema,'' and the Suntory Academic Award for ``Showa Emperor.'' There are some works in my book that I think will be of interest to many people.

I have conducted various works and research in the field of modern Japanese history. It also explains Japan's political system and historical events from a new perspective.

In "Emperor Showa," I examined the decision to start the Pacific War and the response to the process leading up to the end of the war, and presented a new historical assessment. This book won the Suntory Academic Prize.
