Michihiko Fujie, an active manga artist, hails from Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture. After graduating from high school, he aspired to become a manga artist and began submitting works to "Weekly Shonen Sunday," during which time he studied under Satohiko Matsuura. In 1997, he debuted with "Kuro Washi no Kamen" (Black Eagle's Mask), which won the 41st Newcomer Comic Awards.
In 2003, "Concierge" was published as a one-shot in "Weekly Comic Bunch," subsequently becoming a series and eventually being promoted to a full serialization. It ran until issue 39 of 2010 (September 10th issue / 445th overall issue), which was the final issue of "Weekly Comic Bunch," and then concluded.
