森見登美彦は、日本の小説家・随筆家です。奈良県生駒市出身、奈良市在住。京都大学農学部卒業後、小説家を目指しデビュー。その後、国立国会図書館に就職し、兼業作家として執筆活動を行った。2007年に山本周五郎賞を受賞、人気作家としてその名を知られるようになる。2010年には専業作家となる。『熱帯』が2019年に直木賞候補作品となり、第6回高校生直木賞を受賞した。

Tomihiko Morimi is a Japanese novelist and essayist. Born in Ikoma City, Nara Prefecture, lives in Nara City. After graduating from the Faculty of Agriculture at Kyoto University, he made his debut with the aim of becoming a novelist. After that, he got a job at the National Diet Library and started writing as a part-time writer. In 2007, he won the Shugoro Yamamoto Prize and became known as a popular writer. In 2010, he became a full-time writer. ``Tropical'' was nominated for the Naoki Award in 2019 and won the 6th High School Student Naoki Award.
