Yoko Kamio is a Japanese manga artist born in 1966. She is from Tokyo and graduated from Tokyo Polytechnic University Women's Junior College. During her elementary school days, she lived in Jakarta and attended the Jakarta Japanese School.
She debuted in Shueisha's *The Margaret* No. 19 with "Hachimachimamade Matteru" in 1986. *Boys Over Flowers*, which was serialized for a long period in the bi-monthly shojo manga magazine *Margaret* from 1992 to 2004, became a huge hit.
