Michifumi Isoda is a Japanese historian and professor at the International Research Center for Japanese Studies. He is known as a Doctor of History. He is a native of Okayama Prefecture, received direct instruction from historian Toru Hayami, and belongs to the youngest generation of the ``Hayami School.''
Michifumi Isoda graduated from Keio University's Faculty of Letters, Department of History, majoring in Japanese History, and began working as an assistant professor at Ibaraki University's Faculty of Humanities in 2004 after completing his doctoral course. In addition to his dedication to historical elucidation and research, he has published many books. Notably, he won the 63rd Japan Essayist Club Award for ``Rereading Japanese History from Natural Disasters'' and has written books such as ``Samurai's Household Account Book'' and ``Lord's Report Book.''
