**数理化学の先駆者　細矢治夫**
数理化学、理論化学、情報化学を中心に研究し、化学構造グラフ表現に関するトポロジカルインデックスの提唱者で有名。
東京大学理学部卒業後、ミシガン大学博士研究員としてJohn R. Plattに師事。その後、経歴はお茶の水女子大学で終わった。退職後は日本コンピュータ化学会会長。また、平成17年度日本化学会化学教育賞を受賞し、2015年には瑞宝中綬章を叙勲された。

After graduating from the Faculty of Science at the University of Tokyo, he studied under John R. Platt as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Michigan. Her career then ended at Ochanomizu University. After retiring, he became chairman of the Japan Society for Computer Chemistry. He also received the Chemical Education Award of the Chemical Society of Japan in 2005, and was awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure with Gold Medal in 2015.
