Japanese doctor and medical scientist. Specializes in nephrology. Researches glomerulonephritis (IgA nephropathy), diabetic nephropathy, hypertensive nephropathy, and renal failure, and conducts educational activities on the importance of early detection and treatment. Professor of Nephrology, Juntendo University. He has published numerous papers both domestically and internationally.
