Hiroyuki Takeuchi is a Japanese historian of Chinese thought. Professor emeritus at Nagoya University. After serving as an assistant at Kyushu University and an assistant professor at Nagoya Gakuin University, he became a professor at Nagoya University Graduate School before retiring. Since then, he has published many books.
