臨床心理学者、精神分析専攻の東畑開人は、医療人類学と深層心理学を探求することで、人の心を理解し治療を行う。白金高輪カウンセリングルームを主宰し、慶應義塾大学大学院社会学研究科訪問教授として教鞭をとる。また、日本心理臨床学会評議員である。
