アニメーター、キャラクターデザイナー、漫画家。代表作は『機動戦士ガンダムΖΖ』『機動戦士ガンダム 逆襲のシャア』など。
東京都目黒区出身。東京都立駒場高等学校卒業後、東京デザイナー学院を卒業。その後、湖川友謙が率いる作画スタジオ「ビーボォー」に入社し、原画やキャラクターデザインで活躍。
1987年には『機動戦士ΖΖ』の登場キャラクター「ジュドー・アーシタ」と「エルピー・プル」で日本アニメ大賞ファン大賞を獲得。その後はOVAが中心となり、2001年以降は漫画家として活動し、『ガンダムシリーズ』を題材にした漫画を連載。

Animator, character designer, manga artist. His representative works include ``Mobile Suit Gundam ZΖ'' and ``Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack.''
Born in Meguro-ku, Tokyo. After graduating from Tokyo Metropolitan Komaba High School, he graduated from Tokyo Designer Academy. After that, he joined the drawing studio ``B-Bo'' led by Tomoken Kogawa, and was active in original drawings and character design.
In 1987, he won the Fan Grand Prize at the Japan Anime Awards for the characters ``Judau Ashita'' and ``L.P. Pull'' from ``Mobile Suit ZZ''. After that, he focused on OVA, and since 2001 he has been active as a manga artist and serialized manga based on the Gundam series.
