日本のSF作家。日本SF作家クラブ会員でもある吉上亮は、早稲田大学文化構想学部卒業。中高で剣道部に所属し、文化祭で小説を執筆したことが創作へのきっかけとなった。東浩紀の「小説表現」の授業を受講することにより本格的小説を書くようになった。
デビュー前は「パンツァークラウン フェイセズ」の初期プロットが2011年3月11日に完成し、2週間で240ページ程度の内容で執筆したものが一次審査で落選。自身も同作の出来に納得していなかったため全面改稿をした第2稿を2012年に学部で「小説表現」の授業で東浩紀に講評してもらう機会を得、さらに塩澤快浩編集長にも講評してもらった。その時点でも出版レベルではないとされ、その後秋までに再度プロットから練り直した第3稿を完成し再び塩澤に読んでもらって「出版しよう」という返事を受けた。

Japanese science fiction writer. Ryo Yoshigami, a member of the Japan Science Fiction Writers Club, graduated from Waseda University's School of Culture and Media Studies. He was a member of the kendo club in junior high and high school, and wrote a novel at a school festival, which led to his creation. After taking Hiroki Higashi's ``Novel Expression'' class, he began writing full-fledged novels.
