Ichi Sawamura is one of Japan's leading writers of modern horror novels. He has won the Japan Horror Novel Award twice, as well as the Shugoro Yamamoto Award and the Japan Mystery Writers Association Award.
I started writing horror novels when I was trying to critique a friend's novel that he had written as a hobby. He cites Kido Okamoto as a writer who has influenced him. His favorite authors include Shinzo Mitsuda and Masayuki Shuno.
