After reading all of Seishi Yokomizo's works when he was in middle school, he began writing when he entered high school. During her university days, she met Yu Murasaki and was encouraged to write full-scale mysteries, which led her to pursue a career as a writer.
Haru Hatsuno has a style that has been described as ``slightly mysterious,'' and is known for many of his works containing fantastical elements. His debut work ``Water Clock'' won the 22nd Yokomizo Seishi Mystery Award, and since then his works such as ``Exit Game'' and ``Fantasy Organ'' have become popular.
