Novelist Kanako Nishi (born May 7, 1977) is a Japanese novelist. Born in Iran, from Osaka Prefecture.
His representative works include ``Aoi'' and ``Sakura,'' which depict humanity and the subtleties of life with light strokes. Other works include ``Yellow Elephant'' (2013), which was made into a movie, and ``Nikko-chan of the Fishing Port'' (2021), which was made into an animated movie.
He has written many books, including not only novels but also non-fiction.
