Akihiko Akamatsu (born January 8, 1953) is an Indian literary scholar. Professor emeritus at Kyoto University.
After graduating from the History of Indian Philosophy major and obtaining his Ph.D., he continues to contribute to cultural exchange between Japan and the world as a classical literature and philosopher.
