Hideshi Ishikawa is a Japanese archaeologist and professor at Meiji University. Born in Niigata Prefecture. After graduating from Meiji University's Faculty of Letters, Department of History and Geography, majoring in Archeology in 1978, he dropped out of the doctoral program at the same graduate school in 1983. After that, he worked as an assistant and assistant professor at Meiji University before becoming a professor in 1997.
