Satoru Sakakibara is a Japanese art historian and professor emeritus at Gunma Prefectural Women's University. Majoring in early modern Japanese art, he specializes in folding screen paintings. After completing her doctoral course at Waseda University, she became chief curator of the Suntory Museum of Art and then a professor at the Faculty of Letters, Gunma Prefectural Women's University. Since then, he has served as director of the Okazaki City Art Museum and the Okazaki World Children's Art Museum.
