In 2008, he won the 56th Sankei Children's Publishing Culture Award for Best Translated Work for Chen Jianhong's The Most Wonderful Horse in the World, and in 2016 he won the 21st Konishi Foundation Japanese-French Translated Literature Award for Gaston Leroux's The Phantom of the Opera (Kobunsha Classical New Translation Bunko).
