"A pioneer who contributed to finance through mathematics"
Japanese mathematician and finance official. He is known as the inventor of Ito's lemma (Ito's theorem) in probability theory. Winner of the 1st Gauss Prize.
Engaged in mathematical research for many years and established stochastic differential equations. He also made significant contributions to financial engineering theory. It is also the basis for deriving the Black–Scholes equation.
